MEDICAL CENTRE
The Sri Sathya Sai Karunalayam Medical Centre is an OPD clinic located in Batticaloa, in the Eastern Province of Sri Lanka providing consultation and treatment totally free of cost. The patients who come to the clinic are given a nutritious hot meal and a cup of tea between the hours of 10 am – 02 pm.
BREAKFAST SEVA(DHARMAPURAM)
The students of the Dharmapuram School (adjoining our hospital land) have been provided with banana and milk as a breakfast supplement during school months since 2015.

SKILL TRAINING PROGRAM
In March 2020, a Women’s Program was launched to help women enhance their income potential. These skills include baking and food preparation.
FOOD DONATIONS
Since May 2020, our clinic staff have cooked food in our kitchens, wrapped over a hundred parcels per day and delivered these parcels door to door to the elderly, children and to differently abled individuals, three days a week. By the end of January 2021, over 11,000 meals have been provided.

RATION DONATION (DURING LOCKDOWN)
Dry rations were distributed to over 240 families during the Covid lockdown, a period of absolute crisis.
DHARMAPURAM SCHOOL
The Foundation donated new play items for the children for their brand new playground, upgraded the school toilet block and, on various occasions, donated stationery, school bags and shoes.

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS
Various educational programs such as teachers’ training and nutrition awareness for mothers and pregnant women have been conducted. Additionally, senior students have also been provided with extra tuition classes.

Two ENT health screenings for children aged 08 and 09.
I. 05 children were diagnosed with malnutrition. Entire family was provided with dry rations up to 06 months.
II. 04 children were fitted with prescription glasses
III. 01 child who needed cardiac intervention was successfully treated at a leading children’s’ hospital in Colombo. All costs (treatment, transport, accommodation) were covered by the Foundation.
